This template is a simple external link forming template to Wikimedia Foundation's Wikimedia Commons project pages, a source site of Trains Wiki organized media, especially public domain images and Trains pictures.

• The template assumes you are linking to a Commons category page (lists of images and media--the purpose of the Commons), unless the named parameter |Alt= is defined.
• Define it as a Nil value (|Alt=| and give alternative path specs as part of {{{1}}} normally with any desired pretty-print output form as {{{2}}} normally.
