This template is used to preserve a Page's section title for cross linking.
It's code is invisible and will not appear even on the page which contains it.

Use when changing a section title on a page to another to preserve the ability of Wikimarkup linking to the section title line. It should contain exactly the same character string as the title line

  • A more complicated version Template:Anchor may be imported from many Wikimedia Foundation Projects pages (such as en.Wikipedia's, which allows ten parameters for aliasing titles) which would allow a section to be referenced aliases for the section name, perhaps for example, an English versus US Spelling difference.
